Let’s be completely honest: in an era dominated by push notifications, auto-playing short-form videos, and blinking ads, read-through a single page of a book or writing ten clean lines of code has become an uphill battle. We faced the exact same struggle. Preparing for critical releases, we found ourselves unlocking our phones every 5 minutes, spiraling into a loop of digital distraction and guilt. Our brains were constantly starved for dopamine, leaving us chronically exhausted.

Pomodoro Garden started as a personal passion project. We wanted to build a simple, clean workspace for ourselves—an escape hatch from digital burnout. We asked: how can we design a timer so clean that starting a session feels effortless, peaceful, and visually soothing?

Instead, it is the absolute easiest interval to commit to without giving up. The magic lies in flipping your phone facedown, turning off notifications, and practicing the habit of single-tasking for just that tiny block of time.

But here is our team's most critical tip: the 5-minute break must be a real break. When the alarm rings, most of us immediately open social media feeds. This is a trap.
